At Jux Jewellery, one of our favourite things to do is sourcing ethically, hand-mined, Australian gemstones for your engagement rings. Last month, my partner and I had the pleasure of visiting The House of Facets, a cherished family-owned mine nestled in Rubyvale, QLD.

Meet Todd and Bri, an exceptional duo. Todd is the artisan behind the hand mining of mesmerising sapphires, meticulously extracted from their mining claim. Complementing his skill, Bri lends her expert craftsmanship to precision cutting each sapphire with utmost care and finesse.

During our visit, Todd kindly took us on a personal tour of the underground mine, it was such an extraordinary experience. A heartfelt expression of gratitude to The House of Facets for extending their hospitality to us. We’ll share with you shortly some of the amazing sapphires we added to our gem vault.
